Entidade beneficente pioneira na cidade celebrou a data com jantar comemorativo
O Rotary Clube de Ribeirão Preto, o mais antigo da cidade e uma dos mais tradicionais da região, completou 80 anos de atividade. A data foi celebrada com um jantar e contou com a presença de membros e autoridades na última sexta-feira (15/9).
A celebração teve como tema “Luzes que brilham, vozes que ecoam, ações duradouras” e aconteceu na Fundação dos Rotarianos do município. O Rotary Club de Ribeirão Preto é uma entidade humanitária formada por lideranças locais e amigos.
Sem fins lucrativos, integra uma rede global de pessoas que se unem e entram em ação para causar mudanças duradouras em si mesmas, nas suas comunidades e no mundo todo.
O Rotary Internacional atua há 118 anos por meio de projetos em diversas áreas, como alfabetização, saúde e meio ambiente. É composto por 46.000 clubes no mundo todo que trabalham em ações para promover a paz, combater doenças, fornecer água limpa e saneamento, apoiar a educação, entre outras.
