D2 mantém uma relação de mais de duas décadas com o João Rock. A primeira participação do rapper no festival foi em 2005, quando subiu ao palco embalado pelo sucesso do álbum À Procura da Batida Perfeita. Desde então, acumulou apresentações marcantes e se tornou um dos artistas mais identificados com a história do evento, sempre levando ao público a mistura de gêneros que caracteriza sua trajetória.
Na edição deste ano, D2 divide o palco com Rael em um show preparado exclusivamente para o João Rock. A apresentação reúne sucessos dos dois artistas e percorre diferentes vertentes da música urbana brasileira, transitando entre rap, samba, reggae e outras influências que marcam o repertório dos dois.
