Projeto amplia faixa de isenção e segue para análise do Senado antes da sanção
A Câmara dos Deputados aprovou nesta quarta-feira (1º) o projeto de lei que prevê isenção do Imposto de Renda para pessoas com renda mensal de até R$5 mil e desconto para quem recebe até R$7.350. O texto segue agora para votação no Senado antes de ser sancionado pelo presidente.
Atualmente, a faixa de isenção é de até R$3.036. Pelo novo projeto, em 2026, quem ganha até R$5 mil terá desconto mensal de até R$312,89, enquanto a redução para rendas entre R$5.000,01 e R$7.350 será de R$978,62. A medida deve beneficiar cerca de 26,6 milhões de contribuintes.
O custo da isenção está estimado em R$25,8 bilhões, que serão compensados pela tributação de pessoas com renda anual acima de R$600 mil, com alíquota progressiva de até 10%. A medida afetará cerca de 140 mil contribuintes que hoje pagam, em média, apenas 2,54% de IR.
